The data displays the price per square metre for each type. The penthouse apartments on levels 25 to 32 are grouped as one type. Levels 7 to 24 have similar floor plates and have seven types on each level, you can identify these by the last digit of the apartment number e.g. 801, 901, 1001. So the data compares like with like, all the sales of the 01 apartments, 02 apartments and so on. Even the commercial titles are displayed. It is very easy to register if you are an owner and currently it's free. The website does not display the original sales from the developer Mirvac but we do have a copy of an original price list which we are happy to email to any registered owner. The main variable in the data is the car parks, in the original sell down some titles had a car park included in the title and there was another pool of car parks that where offered for sale at the time for $35,000 each. In general those car parks which are on separate titles can only be sold to another apartment owner in Quay West and we mention it here as an explanation for what seems to be a random allocation when you are viewing the data. By the way the car parks are worth around twice that now. Obviously with car parks worth so much it is important to include them in price comparisons. They are included at 18 square metres irrespective of actual size. If you would like more detail on the floor plates at Quay West go to www.highprofiles.co.nz On the 28th August 1994 all the apartments in Quay West were sold in just one frantic day by the good people at Bayleys Real Estate, the event made the television news that night. The building was completed around July 1997 . |
